Key Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Manager:
Commission Management.
Prepare feasibility studies and provide cost planning services.
Oversee tendering and procurement processes, including preparing tender/contract documents and reports.
Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
Conduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients.
Participate in value engineering and negotiate final accounts.
Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages.
Lead a cost management team, where appropriate, ensuring high standards are met.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven track record in delivering cost management or quantity surveying services across similar projects.
Professionally qualified (RICS or equivalent) with a relevant degree or HNC qualification.
Familiarity with JCT contracts and experience working with design teams, supply chains, or tier-one main contractors.
Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
