Key Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Manager:

  • Commission Management.

  • Prepare feasibility studies and provide cost planning services.

  • Oversee tendering and procurement processes, including preparing tender/contract documents and reports.

  • Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.

  • Conduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients.

  • Participate in value engineering and negotiate final accounts.

  • Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages.

  • Lead a cost management team, where appropriate, ensuring high standards are met.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven track record in delivering cost management or quantity surveying services across similar projects.

  • Professionally qualified (RICS or equivalent) with a relevant degree or HNC qualification.

  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and experience working with design teams, supply chains, or tier-one main contractors.

  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
