About the Company
Our client is a dynamic main contractor specialising in Design & Build projects, particularly in the conversion of properties into student accommodation, as well as cut-and-carve and new-build developments. They deliver small to medium size projects within the South West region, with a focus in Bristol and Bath. Known for their focus on quality and reliability, they pride themselves on maintaining strong local supply chains and delivering outstanding results.
They are now looking to bring in a new Project Manager/ Contracts Manager for their upcoming projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage up to 3 projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including buildability reviews and construction methods, ensuring technical challenges are identified and resolved.
Act as a hybrid Contracts Manager/Design Manager, reviewing and advising on design information to optimise project delivery.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, supply chains, and in-house teams effectively.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies on-site.
Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and project teams, providing updates and managing expectations.
Lead pre-construction activities where required, including programming and cost analysis.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager/ Contracts Manager with a strong background in main contractor environments.
Expertise in Design & Build (D&B) projects, with a good understanding of buildability and construction methods.
Experience managing small to medium-sized projects - up to £10M ideally
Self-starter with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients.
A full UK driving licence.
