Are you an experienced Planner with knowledge of civil engineering schemes? Are you looking for a fresh challenge? Then we may just have your very next role.

Our client is looking to add an experienced planner to their project working out of their offices in Lancaster. They are involved in some interesting heavy civil engineering construction works and having been succesful on several recent framework wins, need to add a planner to their existing team.

They are a well known company with a low turnover of staff, where the culture encourages long term careers. They are paying a competitve market relecvant salary based upon the skills and experience you bring to the table.



The role

Your duties will include:

  • Construct and maintain detailed programmes from first principles including resource and cost loading

  • Input into construction techniques and buildability of construction methods

  • Co-ordinate with the project teams on all programme aspects

  • Manage short term planning with the project teams

  • Take ownership of the programme to drive project delivery

  • Communicate programme information, risk and commercial issues to operational teams.

  • Update and monitor project progress

  • Introduce and analyse change in programmes and support the commercial teams

  • Evaluate supply chain and subcontract programmes

The candidate

You will have

  • A qualification in civil engineering or construction to HND level or equivalent

  • Able to display previous experience in a similar role

  • Competent in the use of P6 software.
