Key Responsibilities of the successful Senior Building Surveyor:

  • Manage and deliver Building Surveying and project management services across a range of sectors.
  • Build and maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring a seamless service.
  • Use and apply building contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) effectively.
  • Conduct defect analysis, building surveys, and produce detailed professional reports and specifications.
  • Deliver commissions under established framework agreements.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, supporting their professional growth and career development.

Requirements of the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from a RICS-accredited institution.
  • Holds chartership or is working towards chartership.
  • Proven track record in pre- and post-contract project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and NBS; experience with Revit and understanding of BIM Level 2 are advantageous.
  • Strong IT skills (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills to inspire clients and colleagues.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
