Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor:
Manage and provide a variety of building surveying duties across multiple sectors.
Ensure high-quality service delivery and maintain excellent client relationships. Assist in cultivating new and repeat business opportunities across all sectors.
Conduct condition and measured surveys, defect analysis, and due diligence surveys.
Utilize standard building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
Provide both pre- and post-contract project management services.
Support the development of graduates and more junior members of the team.
Stay updated with best practices, industry developments, and innovations.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards, quality management, and environmental practices.
Requirements of the Senior Building Surveyor:
BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or equivalent RICS-accredited degree.
Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Pre- and post-contract experience.
Sector experience in education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to travel when required.
Strong client-focused approach.
Comprehensive understanding of building defects, professional reporting, and design implementation.
