Our client a large subcontractor contractor are looking to fill this role to complete their delivery team. The role is work on a large and complex civil engineering project. Your overall role will be to ensure that all works as carried in accordance with scope, specification, and industry standards. Lead on quality assurance, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) production, monitoring, reporting and document completion.

This is a long term freelance positino and could be a quick start for the right candidate!



Responsibilities

  • Producing, reviewing & issuing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)

  • Overseeing the approval process of all materials and products for the project.

  • Develop quality forms and checklist to facilitate the quality of all construction works including, concrete works, civil and pipeline construction.

  • Develop a system to ensure timely approval by the client of work stages on site to ensure works remain on programme.

  • Production of Quality documents and issuing to the client

  • Management of test results and issuing to relevant parties.

  • Management of the materials testing subcontractors.

  • Liaising with the designers, client, clients' representatives, including the construction engineer in all aspects of quality of works.

  • Reviewing designs as they develop from concept through to detail design to ensure designs can be constructed to the required quality requirements, "quality by design".

  • Working with project management and engineering staff to improve the quality of work on site. Suggest possible improvements on daily activities to ensure that production is maximised whilst ensuring quality is maintained at the highest level.

  • Pro-active approach to, and management of, non-conformance issues

    The candidate

    • You will be able to display previous experience in a similar role

    • Ideally hold a civil engineering degree / HND (or equivalent)

    • CSCS Card
