About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy, delivering commercial and cost management expertise across a range of construction projects. As part of a collaborative and client-focused team, you'll play a key role in leading projects from initial feasibility through to final account settlement, while building long-term relationships with clients.

You'll gain exposure to a diverse project portfolio, spanning sectors such as healthcare, education & science, heritage, retail, commercial workspaces, and residential developments. The consultancy works closely with a wide network of stakeholders including architects, landlords, building owners, and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the consultancy as the primary point of contact for clients, attending meetings and advising throughout the project lifecycle

  • Help drive business growth by developing strong relationships with existing and prospective clients

  • Deliver end-to-end project surveying services-from cost planning and procurement advice to contract administration and final accounts

  • Provide clear commercial insights and guidance to clients across a variety of exciting and high-impact sectors

  • Mentor and support junior team members and graduates

  • Monitor and manage project budgets, changes, and cost forecasts with accuracy and diligence

  • Conduct valuations of construction work and ensure timely agreement of final accounts

  • Align with client governance, reporting protocols, and quality standards

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the construction industry, ideally gained within a consultancy environment

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience using CAD Measure

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A collaborative approach and ability to effectively delegate and mentor

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive

  • Strong work ethic with a sense of humour-able to maintain professionalism while fostering a positive and enjoyable work environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

  • RICS Chartered (or working toward)

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar consultancy-based role
