About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy, delivering commercial and cost management expertise across a range of construction projects. As part of a collaborative and client-focused team, you'll play a key role in leading projects from initial feasibility through to final account settlement, while building long-term relationships with clients.
You'll gain exposure to a diverse project portfolio, spanning sectors such as healthcare, education & science, heritage, retail, commercial workspaces, and residential developments. The consultancy works closely with a wide network of stakeholders including architects, landlords, building owners, and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the consultancy as the primary point of contact for clients, attending meetings and advising throughout the project lifecycle
Help drive business growth by developing strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Deliver end-to-end project surveying services-from cost planning and procurement advice to contract administration and final accounts
Provide clear commercial insights and guidance to clients across a variety of exciting and high-impact sectors
Mentor and support junior team members and graduates
Monitor and manage project budgets, changes, and cost forecasts with accuracy and diligence
Conduct valuations of construction work and ensure timely agreement of final accounts
Align with client governance, reporting protocols, and quality standards
Requirements
Solid understanding of the construction industry, ideally gained within a consultancy environment
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
Experience using CAD Measure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A collaborative approach and ability to effectively delegate and mentor
Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive
Strong work ethic with a sense of humour-able to maintain professionalism while fostering a positive and enjoyable work environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
RICS Chartered (or working toward)
4+ years of experience in a similar consultancy-based role
