Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
Conduct background research, data collection, and benchmarking.
Lead technology and innovation projects, including laboratories, biotech facilities, and data centres.
Implement effective processes and systems throughout project lifecycles.
Monitor and document project progress, ensuring performance indicators are met.
Manage and track project changes, ensuring accurate documentation.
Prepare project communication materials, progress reports, and other documentation.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and designers to ensure project success.
Attend project meetings, drafting minutes and follow-ups as required.
Support business development by preparing presentations and maintaining internal databases.
Qualifications & Experience of the ideal Project Manager:
Minimum of 5 years' project management experience, preferably in construction or real estate.
Relevant qualification in project management or construction management.
Member of a chartered institute such as RICS or willing to work towards membership.
Strong understanding of construction industry themes like Net Zero Carbon, and the Digital Agenda.
Experience managing large-scale technology and innovation projects in the life sciences sector.
Experience in master planning, estate development, and capital project planning is desirable.
Familiarity with NEC contract administration.
Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, managing stakeholders at all levels.
