About the Role:
As Health & Safety Director, you will lead and develop a team of specialists, ensuring best-in-class service delivery while driving operational efficiency and business growth. From overseeing landmark projects to mentoring the next generation of industry experts, you will play a key role in shaping the future of health and safety consultancy.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and inspire a team of health and safety professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Drive strategy and growth, supporting business development, client engagement, and operational success.
Provide expert guidance on health and safety matters to clients and project stakeholders, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and industry best practices.
Support the delivery of CDM Principal Designer duties, working closely with design teams to create safe and efficient project plans.
Oversee complex health and safety audits on construction sites and within client facilities.
Collaborate with senior leadership to refine policies, develop new services, and expand the consultancy's market presence.
Monitor financial performance, ensuring profitability, revenue growth, and efficient resource management.
Champion a high-performance culture, recruiting, mentoring, and developing the next generation of health and safety professionals.
What We're Looking For:
Proven leadership experience in a health and safety consultancy or related field, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or major projects.
Relevant qualifications such as a NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Membership, or equivalent.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong commercial awareness and a track record of delivering growth and strategic impact.
A passion for innovation and a drive to continuously raise health and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, internal teams, and industry stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with industry software.
