Title: Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Design
Location: Oxford
Type: Hybrid, Permanent, Full-Time.
We're looking for a Civil Engineer in Oxford!
You will be working collaboratively across disciplines, including with the structural, architectural, and building services teams, and will benefit from working on prestigious projects, covering a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, residential, commercial, Formula 1, and international projects!
The team works on high-value construction projects, with values in the region of several hundred million pounds.

Responsibilities:
Mentoring graduate and apprentice level Civil Engineers
Building relationships with colleagues and with clients
Ability to work independently
Leading and overseeing the delivery of projects
Producing flood risk assessments (FRA's) and Drainage strategies
Developing highways, earthworks, external works, and drainage designs
Representing the company at external meetings with clients and fellow professionals
Preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation under the supervision of the Civil Engineering Team Manager
Participating in the resolution of technical issues and applying problem-solving skills on projects
Developing fees and managing project spend/ programme
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
A degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/ MEng)
Competency/ advanced skills with AutoCAD, particularly Civil 3D
Experience with InfoDrainage [desirable]
Relevant and proven experience in a similar role (ideally within a private practice), or within the civil engineering industry
A good understanding of Building Regulations Part H and Design & Construction guidance for foul and surface water sewers
A good understanding/ experience of preparing Highway and Drainage section agreements (38, 278 and 104) [desirable]
Pre-planning experience for flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and/or masterplanning support [desirable]
An understanding of DMRB and Manual for Streets Vol 1 and 2 [desirable]
Personal Attributes:
Be able to work efficiently to meet project deadlines, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure
Demonstrate the desire and drive in working towards chartership which will be fully supported.
