Key Responsibilities of the Associate Director:

  • Establishing contractor schedule requirements through early supply chain engagement to meet programme time, cost, and quality targets.

  • Collaborating with senior leadership to enhance governance processes and mitigate risks effectively.

  • Providing expert guidance and technical support to resolve delays and challenges during project execution.

  • Leading the periodic correlation of schedules to ensure expedient project delivery and alignment with executive reporting cycles.

  • Taking ownership of business reporting quality and delivering robust progress updates to senior stakeholders.

  • Managing and mentoring a team to ensure high performance and alignment with project goals.

  • Supporting strategic planning activities and sharing best practices within the planning community.

Requirements of the Associate Director:

  • Proven experience in a Planning or Project Controls role within large, complex infrastructure or construction projects.

  • Formal professional Project Management qualifications (preferred).

  • Expertise in NEC Forms of Contract and familiarity with the public sector's policies and procedures.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams in a large-scale project setting.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving acumen, and risk mitigation capabilities.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the political and strategic contexts of infrastructure projects.
