Key responsibilities for the Senior Planner:
Develop and manage schedules, ensuring seamless integration across multiple stakeholders.
Maintain and manage baselines to support contractual and performance metrics.
Conduct workshops and meetings to challenge and drive project progress and performance.
Support Planning/Project Controls Managers in maintaining schedule integrity and interfaces.
Manage contract requirements, ensuring compliance with NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and rail frameworks.
Deliver advanced reporting, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
Perform critical path analysis and scenario planning to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
Integrate schedules with cost and risk data to provide holistic project insights.
Requirements of the Senior Planner:
Demonstrated experience on large, multi-disciplinary projects.
Proficiency with Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and/or Microsoft Project.
Expertise in planning fundamentals, critical path analysis, and tendering.
Strong cost/resource loading experience.
Comprehensive understanding of NEC, JCT, and FIDIC contracts.
Advanced reporting capabilities and stakeholder management skills.
Leadership and mentorship experience.
Risk management expertise, including quantitative schedule risk analysis (QSRA).
Forensic planning capabilities.
Rail industry experience, including knowledge of systems, technologies, and regulatory bodies (e.g., DfT).
